Community Guidelines
Last updated September 18, 2026 (historical)
iMeetPlace works because people show up as themselves and treat each other well. These guidelines say what that means. They are part of our Terms and Conditions, and breaking them can lead to a warning, a suspension or removal.
Historical version. Historical version, published September 18, 2026. It has been replaced by the Safety and Community Guidelines; the current version is at /safety. Read the current version.
Be real
- Use your own name, your own recent photos and your real age. One account per person.
- Verification is optional, but pretending to be verified, or helping someone else pass verification, is not allowed.
- Say what you are looking for. Intents exist so nobody wastes an evening.
Be respectful
- No harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination of any kind, in chat, on Video Hello or in person.
- No sexual content or unwanted sexual attention. Dating is welcome; pressure is not.
- No sharing of anyone’s private information, screenshots of private conversations, or photos of people who did not agree to be in them.
- Take no for an answer. If someone stops replying, let it go.
Show up
- A Meet is a commitment. If plans change, cancel in the app as early as you can so the venue can release the table and the other person can adjust.
- Check in when you arrive. It keeps your Show rate honest and helps the venue.
- Rate honestly after every Meet, about the Meet itself. Ratings are not for settling scores.
Keep it on iMeetPlace
- No selling, soliciting, fundraising or promoting other services, and no asking for money for any reason.
- No links to other apps or profiles in your photos or bio.
- Venues must not contact members outside the app or use Meet information for anything other than the Meet.
Stay safe
- Meet in public places. Partner venues are public, staffed and expecting you.
- Tell a friend where you are going and who you are meeting. Share your plan from the Meet screen.
- Keep your own transport. Do not rely on someone you just met to get home.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave, and report it.
Report it
Every profile, chat thread and venue has a Report button. Choose a reason, add anything useful, and optionally block. A person reviews every report with its context, and we act on the ones that break these guidelines. Reports are confidential. For emergencies, contact local emergency services first.
